At Yoga Mind Over Matter, we believe healing begins with slowing down, tuning in, and finding the courage to show up as your truest self.
Founded in the peaceful hills of Appalachian Ohio, our mission is to create safe, welcoming spaces for women to reconnect with their bodies, breath, and inner wisdom — whether through yoga, seasonal retreats, community education, or compassionate conversation.
We offer beginner-friendly, trauma-informed yoga practices that are accessible to all bodies — including chair yoga and gentle movement designed for real people with real life experiences. Every class and retreat is guided by the belief that you don’t need to be flexible, spiritual, or experienced to benefit from yoga. You just need to be willing to begin.
Our signature women’s retreats are held in the serene beauty of Hocking Hills and feature a combination of slow movement, journaling, mindfulness practices, and nourishing meals that support a variety of dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. Each retreat is designed to help women release what no longer serves them, root deeply into self-love, and restore their energy in community with others.
We’re also proud to serve our local community through health education, community wellness events, and ongoing support as a certified Community Health Worker (CHW). With a foundation in lived experience and professional training, we meet people where they are and walk beside them as they find their way forward.
